Teaching + Facilitating

Onnesha regularly leads writing and storytelling workshops for organizations across the country, including the Moth and the Reproduction Health Access Project, as well as at universities such as San Francisco State University, Rutgers University, Hunter College, Pratt Institute, and Western Connecticut State University, where she is an instructor in the graduate writing program.

She is the co-founder of Speech/Act, an organization that delivers targeted storytelling trainings to advocates working on the frontlines of the fight for social justice and equity.

Speaking + Performance

Onnesha has performed and presented personal stories, comedy, and keynote speeches on stages throughout the country, including the Moth Mainstage, the People’s Improv Theater, TEDx, Lincoln Center, and the National YoungArts Foundation.
